Author Kao Kalia Yang provided an inspirational and memorable presentation. As participants noted, her poetic writing style stretched beyond the words of her book. One participant wrote 'Her writing is lyrical and her speaking is also lyrical. I could have listened a lot longer.' The audience was captivated by Kalia's stories and asked thoughtful questions about her experiences as a Hmong refugee, daughter/sister/mother, and as a Minnesota author. Kao Kalia Yang's author program is sure to have a positive, lasting impact on our community.
