Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

1) Attendees will be given the opportunity to meet a local author. 2) Audience members will be inspired to read more Western's and/or books written by local authors. 3) Book clubs & writing groups will have the opportunity to attend an author program which will provide them with additional conversation & discussion points.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Attendees were given the opportunity to meet a local authors. Attendees were engaged in the program and asked specific questions about the author's writing process and experiences with a publishing company. Those writers who attended the program in Winsted, as part of NaNoWriMo, seemed to greatly appreciate interacting with an author who has been recently published and has familiarity with the specific publishing process. Following the author event in Winsted, Mark Mitten returned for a finale NaNoWriMo event where he helped judge local writers submissions.
