Magician Robert Halbrook uses custom made set pieces ad a gorgeous themed backdrop set for this spell binding show which engages kids with magic, storytelling, puppetry and a selection of featured books to fuel their imaginations.

Children and families will experience different featured books throughout the program. They will be encouraged to try different authors and books. Attendees may develop new interest in reading, writing, puppeteering, magic, and making/designing their own stage designs and props.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Magic Bob involved the children in the show, promoted reading and using the library. Many comments on the 'interactivity' of the show, how polite and enthusiastic the performer was. Attendee responses to 'What did you learn from the program' included: 'If you work hard and keep trying, you can do it.' 'Be polite, use good manners.', 'Reading is cool, magic is cool.'
