We hoped that this program would introduce patrons to a new type of music,a new instrument, and/or a new art form. We also hoped that it would increase our patrons' interest in Swedish music or culture. Many residents of our region are Swedish/ Norwegian/ Scandinavian, so we thought this might teach them something new about their personal history, as well as the history of this part of Minnesota. This piece focused on accepting differences, and being welcoming and tolerant of new people and new ideas. We hoped that these themes would come through. We always distribute evaluation forms after each program, and collect public comments.
