The proposed outcome was measured by the amount of participants in the play, and public comments collected by staff and volunteers. We hoped that, by continuing this program year after year, the residents of Greenbush would benefit from continued exposure to theater arts, and benefit from working with a professional touring group such as Prairie Fire. We also hope that this program works to bring this small community together.
This program was once again a hit. Comments collected from the public were very positive about the quality of the program and the actors, and community members enjoy the way it engages both adults and children for this week long program. This is a unique experience for the community, as it allows community engagement and engagement in the arts to intersect.
The Greenbush Area Community Grant sponsored by the Northwest Minnesota Foundation contributed $1,000 toward the cost of the program. The Greenbush Friends of the Library group worked hard to line up and organize the event and they also volunteered throughout the program, working with the kids for practices and performances. They supplied the attendees and participants with food and treats. They also paid for hotel and mileage for the group's leaders, and advertising for the program. The program's practices and performances were held at the Greenbush School.
