Cara Caravetta: Foraging for Herbal Remedies
Local patron Cara Caravetta visited the Warroad Public Library to provide a seminar and workshop on all of the ways you can use local herbs and plants for a variety of home uses. Science met creativity in this program as Cara provided useful information about foraging locally for potpourri mixes, herbal cold and flu remedies, and perfume.

From this program we expect patrons to learn something new about their local ecosystems and what aspects of the natural world around them could be useful to them in their daily lives. We also expect that patrons will have an increased interest in natural and herbal products. We will distribute evaluations after the program.
100% of participants said that after watching this program they have learned something new about herbal remedies. 100% said that this program helped them increase their knowledge and better understand this topic. 100% said that this program increased their interest in foraging for and using natural and herbal products. Comments included, 'wonderful program, please have more like this- very informative.'
