Project Overview

Twenty years ago a significant weather event changed the upper Gunflint Trail forever. Through interviews with those affected by the event, professional climatologists, local emergency personnel, etc., WTIP will retell the story of an event that has affected residents to this day. WTIP plans to partner with local history centers.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

A greater awareness of the history of our area thru the exhibits at our local history centers. Arts and culture will be interwoven into facets of community life. People will trust Minnesota's stewardship of public arts, culture and history funding. Arts culture and history will thrive in Minnesota. There will be an increase in the number of Minnesotans of all ages, ethnicities, abilities and incomes who participate in artistic, cultural, or historical programs.
