KBEM - Minnesota Jazz Legends
A comprehensive look at the beginning of jazz in the Twin Cities, featuring jazz artists in their 70's and 80's who are still performing. The show will include a pieces performed live by these individuals and will include one on one interviews interspersed into the program, taken from the concert and in studio interviews. A concert will be performed, recorded for later broadcast.
$1,470,000 the first year and $1,666,000 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.
