KBXE - What We're Reading
A one-hour standalone radio show that features book reviews, book lists, book and author news, listener/reader reviews or discussions, book events, book groups, writer groups, book suggestions, with music interludes. Includes a social media component to encourage reading and sharing book information.
$1,470,000 the first year and $1,666,000 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.
1. Survey: A majority of listeners surveyed will affirm that What We're Reading increases their access to and appreciation for the writer's art in MN.
2. Estimated audience: This radio market is not measured with statistical accuracy. The program will continue to attract a strong audience as determined by fundraising response, feedback from listeners, and placement in the broadcast schedule
3. Facebook activity: The What We're Reading group on Facebook will reflect book recommendations, discussion, and participation in summer and winter reading challenges. Membership in this group will grow from the current 323.
4. Feedback: Collect responses from readers and writers that illustrate the expected outcomes of the ACHF
5. Fiscal audit: The organization will assure fiscal responsibility through a clean audit that fairly represents the finances of Northern Community Radio
