KBFT - Great State Artist Contest
This will be an open to all KBFT listeners artist contest. The contest itself will be of a theme chosen by the station (every 3 months for a total of 4 rounds). The artist may submit only one article of work and utilize any medium available.
$1,470,000 the first year and $1,666,000 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.
This will engage artists and help promote their art work by showcasing the winners on the KBFT website, winners will be encouraged to use funds for furthering their artwork, by drawing out potential artists will act as an art scout for MN artists. To engage station listeners on radio and website, and expand the minds of the people of Minnesota.
