KBXE - Bemidji Block Party
A free outdoor concert in partnership with downtown businesses and held in conjunction with Bemidji's annual Loop the Lake event. Produce and share a 1-hour edited broadcast of highlights from the event.
$1,470,000 the first year and $1,666,000 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.
Listeners will report that they have more knowledge, information and access to the arts The program will attract a large live audience as evidenced by audience count. This will be the first year for this event. Radio audience will be estimated and will remain strong as determined by fundraising response and feedback from listeners. (The northern MN radio market is not measured with statistical accuracy) Track or estimate number, ages and cultural backgrounds of performers and audience to assure the program appropriately reflects the diversity and culture of the area. Feedback from the audience (email, Facebook, website statistics, survey comments) will reflect the priorities of the ACHF for public broadcasting, including expanded knowledge, information, and access to arts, and MN's cultural heritage. The audience will also experience the creative skill of musicians. Musicians will report a positive environment for artists to work and a chance to share their creative skill. Community partners will report a good collaboration and positive community impact. The organization will assure fiscal responsibility through a clean audit that fairly represents the finances of Northern Community Radio
