KQAL - Midwest Music Fest
An all-ages, multiple-genre, volunteer-driven two-day spring music festival held on 12 stages on an April weekend.
$1,470,000 the first year and $1,666,000 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.
Increase exposure for this event which will in turn expose more Minnesotans to art and culture as well as giving the artists themselves more exposure. Plus, provide an audience of all ages several styles and genres of music performed by local and statewide musicians. KQAL also supports & promotes MWMF educational initiative, "Sounds like School'
