WTIP - Cache Project of Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe
This series will highlight the aspects of the Grand Portage food sovereignty program which is described as the inherent right to define their own food system within traditional, cultural and historical context.
$1,470,000 the first year and $1,666,000 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.
More local and state wide awareness of the garden/food program at Grand Portage. Collaboration with Grand Portage Ojibwe Reservation and their gardeners and elders. Fostering collaboration among arts, history and cultural heritage organizations. Arts, culture and history will be interwoven into facets of community life. More Minnesotans of all ages, ethnicities, abilities and incomes will participate in the arts, culture and history. Increase in diverse Minnesotans to participate in the arts, culture and history. More locally and Minnesota focused content. Will help to build bridges between diverse groups in our county.
