KKWE - Anishinaabeg Family Culture Camps
This project will vividly bring to the life the culture of traditional Anishinaabeg through inter-generational seasonal family camps together with Sahkahtay, a nonprofit organization which dedicated to the survival of and revival of the Anishnaabeg traditions of ricing, trapping, harvesting, and story telling.
$1,470,000 the first year and $1,666,000 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.
Arts, culture and history will be interwoven into every facet of community life. People will trust Minnesota's stewardship of public arts, culture and history funding. Art, culture and history will thrive in Minnesota. There will be an increased number of Minnesotans of all ages, ethnicities, abilities and incomes who participate in the arts, culture and history. There will be an increase in the locally focused content and Minnesota focused content produced by public radio.
