KKWE - Baapaamakamigad Art and Music Gala
The annual gala is a two day festival featuring local musicians, comedians, spoken word, sketch and craft artists in a family friendly venue. Minnesota artists will sign a technical release allowing KKWE to record audio and video from performances for broadcast on KKWE.
KKWE conducted five Baapinakamigad Music and Arts Galas during the grant period.
$1,470,000 the first year and $1,666,000 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.
Arts, culture and history will be interwoven into every facet of community life.People will trust Minnesota's stewardship of public arts, culture and history funding. Art, culture and history will thrive in Minnesota.There will be an increase in visual and literary artisits in Minnesota who report that they earn over half of their income from their art.There will be an increased number of Minnesotans of all ages, ethnicities, abilities and incomes who participate in the arts, culture and history.There will be an increase in the locally focused content and Minnesota focused content produced by public radio.
