Stories of local people with an authentic connection to the land--those who practice subsistence, ancestral, and indigenous activities--thereby honoring the unique culture of northern Minnesota
$1,470,000 the first year and $1,666,000 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.
1) Survey: A majority of listeners will report that listening to this program gives them more knowledge of and information about people who practice subsistence, ancestral, and indigenous activities. Survey respondents will agree that the show honors the unique culture of northern Minnesota.
2) Estimated audience: This market is not measured by Neilson or other ratings systems with statistical accuracy. The program will continue to attract a strong audience as determined by fundraising response, feedback from listeners, and placement in the broadcast schedule
3) Participant comparison to resident population: Track number, ages and cultural backgrounds of program subjects to assure that the program reflects the population of the area
4) Feedback: Feedback will be collected from subjects and the audience via social media, email, survey responses, anecdotes, etc.
5) Audit: The organization will assure fiscal responsibility through a clean audit that fairly represents the finances of Northern Community Radio
