To have the opportunity to learn from a successful and entertaining Minnesota author. Mr. Krueger will share details of his successful career as an author, as well as how and when he writes.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Evaluations: 33 (both programs). Attendees were asked to rate the program using the scale "Great, Very Good, Average, Below Average and Poor," Great being the highest rating, Poor the lowest. Of the 33 patrons who rated the program: 21 rated the program "Great", 11 rated the program "Very Good", 1 rated the program "Average". A 100% positive response from those who attended the program. "Would you attend another program of this kind if it were offered?" was asked. Of the 32 patrons that responded to the question: 28 indicated YES, 0 indicated NO, 4 indicated MAYBE Again, a 100% positive response to the program. Comments from patrons on the question, What did you enjoy most about this program? include: "Background of the books and reasons for the series – so interesting! "Minnesota stories are always special!" "Minnesota connections." "I enjoyed the information about the series, the author's perspective and motivations to write each book." "Listening to author & asking questions." Comments from patrons on the question, What did you learn from attending this program? include: "How the author comes up with ideas." "That I want to read his books." "Permission to let the creative process define itself." "I did enjoy meeting an author." "A little geography of Minnesota." "I didn't know of mystery writers from Minnesota." Comments to Please let us know what you think about this program include: "Legacy Program is great & has been wonderful for Granite Falls." "It is just excellent & allows rural communities to be able to enjoy & receive the educational amenities that the metro has." "It is great to have these artists come to rural Minnesota." "This program gives us opportunities we wouldn't normally have in a small town." "I really enjoyed this opportunity. Thank you Legacy Funds!"

Partner Organization Contribution/Role in the Program: Dassel Public Library provided the space for the program and advertising in the form of posters, bookmarks and newspaper ads.
