Attendees will discover the history of the portable sewing kits used during the 1860's by soldiers as well as frontiersmen. Experience the making of the sewing kits with supplies provided. Broaden knowledge of a historical craft for those interested in the art of sewing.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Participants completing program evaluations commented that this was 'an excellent program' and 'very informative' and they 'enjoyed the hands on aspect' of the workshops.
