Buster, the Reading Clown
The children experience an active, enhanced reading of classic children's books, along with the antics of Buster the Clown and Squeaky the rubber duck. The purpose is to encourage the fun of reading, books and telling stories.
For each program, one (1) Q & A survey was completed by 32 children.The program was a new experience for 11 out of 32 children, 34% more children had the opportunity to experience a library program. 26 children indicated they would attend another library program. 29 out of the 32 children indicated they would like to learn more about clowns, reading, and magic. 29 out of the 32 children stated they wanted to check out books about clowns, reading, and magic. When the question What was your favorite part of the program? was asked, the children responded: Jokes, the magic coloring book, the stories being read to them, learning the magic chant, watching the classic magic tricks being performed. When the question What do you want to learn more about now after the program? was asked, the children responded: To learn about magic, how to do the coloring book trick, to learn and tell jokes, and to learn more about pandas.

Appleton Public Library arranged the visit and Appleton Elementary School provided the space for the program.
