Project Overview

Robert Halbrook's "Skullduggery" is a fully themed theatrical show. The program is interactive theatre, with storytelling, comedy, and magic aimed at encouraging children to read and enjoy books. "Skullduggery" focuses on literacy and books for children.

To encourage children to read by encouraging them through the medium of theatre, magic and comedy. To provide a unique live program unlike any others available within the area.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Evaluations completed: 6 completed by adults on behalf of the students. 214 children and adults rated the program as "Very Good," a 100% positive result. "The interaction with kids was great!" "The wonderful acting presentation – got kids involved!" "Floating of (the) classmate." What did you learn from attending this program? "Reading helps you learn." "How to speak pirate." "You learn new things when you read."
What did you think about this program? "It was fun." "My students were very excited about this program & would love to see something like it again."

Pioneerland Library System and Raymond Public Library, MCCRAY East Elementary Public School, Raymond MN. Partner Organization Contribution/Role in the Program: Raymond Public Library contacted performer and school, set up time and date, and promoted the program with posters and bookmarks within the school. MCCRAY East Elementary Public School provided the location, date and time, and promoted the program to parents and families of students.
