Persons in attendance will learn Minnesota history of the Abercrombie Trail, Pomme De Terre and other historical facts of the area from a Minnesota author who has written several books about the subject. Books will be available for purchase as well.

Ms. Simar talked about the history of Minnesota and how it related to this (Big Stone County) area. She talked a lot about the Sioux Uprising and the impact on the Civil War. Attendees enjoyed the educational nature of her book talk.
