Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Attendees will travel back to the year 1863 and explore Fort Snelling's Civil War history. Visit interactive learning stations to find out about Minnesota's soldiers at Gettysburg, the Emancipation Proclamation, and the end of slavery, the Sibley Expedition and much more.

Measurable Outcome(s)

All attendee reviews were positive and stated how much participants had learned about Minnesota's involvement in the Civil War. Also learned about Minnesota participation in slavery and the awful treatment of Native Americans. Many evaluations returned mentioned how the participant would not have had this opportunity had it not been for the library and the Legacy dollars that provided for the bus trip.
