Link & Crowley - From Adventure to Publication
The intended outcome is to inspire attendees to read, express themselves creatively, and or /explore parts of Minnesota.
Surveys were distributed to participants at all programs. 86% strongly agreed that this was an enjoyable experience and that they would attend a similar event. Participants liked the experiences shared by the author, the balance of writing and trip information, and the courage of these very engaging folks to undertake this at this mature state of their lives. Participants learned about the shoreline and lighthouses along Lake Superior, the environment, flora, & fauna and how we need to cherish and preserve our water quality. Specific comments included "thank you for sharing your adventure" and "thanks to the cultural heritage fund'.
The following public libraries provided space, staff, and additional promotion for the programs: Aurora, Babbitt, Buhl, Carlton, Grand Rapids, grand Marais, Hibbing, International Falls, Moose Lake, Silver Bay, and Two Harbors libraries and approximately 10 regional newspapers.
