Children's Stories From India
The intended outcome of the program is to stimulate patron imagination, creativity and interest in different cultures. It will also expose patrons to new art formats as well as create access to professional live art through dynamic history players. A survey was distributed to receive feedback from those attending the programs.
Surveys were distributed to participants at all programs. 84% strongly agreed that this was an enjoyable experience and 81% strongly agreed that they would attend a similar event. Comments: I liked the stories I had never heard before that kept the kids engaged. The music was amazing and truly enhanced the stories. The variety of learning aspects - story, culture, language music interaction and engagement. I learned a new vocabulary, stories, songs and musical instruments. Many enjoyed his stories and learning about culture and how great it is to expose their kids to other cultures.
22 libraries provided space, staff, and additional promotion for the programs and approximately 20 regional newspapers provided marketing through press releases, photos and interviews with artists and performers.
