Cartooning with 321 Art Studio
The intended outcome of the arts program is to allow patrons the opportunity to create hands-on art projects and develop their skills as visual artists, such as creative problem solving, self-expression, small motor development, etc. A survey was distributed to receive feedback from those attending the programs.
Surveys were distributed to participants at all programs. 95% agreed that this was an enjoyable experience and 90% agreed that they would attend a similar event. Comments: Enough direction at the beginning to have the confidence to use our imagination and create our own drawings. That everything is possible if you put your mind into it. 20 libraries provided space (two partnered for a program to held at a school), staff, and additional promotion for the programs and approximately 15 regional newspapers provided marketing through press releases, photos and interviews with artists and performers.
