Frederick Blanch - Travel and Photography
The intended outcome of the arts program is to allow patrons the opportunity to see and learn about the visual art of photography and inspire them through the observation of creative work and encouragement of the presenter. A survey was distributed to receive feedback from those attending the programs.
A survey was distributed. 97% agreed that this was an enjoyable experience and 95% agreed that they would attend a similar event. Participants liked seeing the large photographs and learning the technical and practical aspects involved in capturing the photo as well as the history and geography of the location and animals in the photographs. One participant particularly noted that "People who share their interests are a rich resource in any community" and "I would love to travel but his presentation took me there."
The following public libraries provided space, staff, and additional promotion for the programs: Aurora, Babbitt, Baudette, Buhl, Calumet, Chisholm, Cloquet, Cook (Held at the US Forest station), Duluth, Ely, Gilbert, Grand Rapids, Hibbing, International Falls, Keewatin (Held at the Nashwauk Community Library), Marble, Moose Lake, Mt.
