REIF Center - Okee Dokee Brothers
The event pass program offered patrons the opportunity to check out passes for admission to regional venues to experience rich local history, art, and culture of our region. The intended outcome of the Event Pass program was to increase awareness and provide access to the regions cultural, historical, and educational, and arts venues by providing free admission tickets. Patrons checked a box indicating how many times that had visited a venue prior to using the free ticket.
180 passes were used for a return rate of 76%. Those using the Event Passes were asked to check a box on the ticket indicating if they had visited that museum before. Of the tickets marked, 41% had never been to that particular venue before.
All art associations agreed to a 20% reduction in ticket price for reimbursement of tickets. This savings allowed us to provide more tickets. 180 free event passes were distributed between all public libraries. Library staff distributed passes and provided additional promotion for the event pass programs and approximately 20 regional newspapers.
