The cultural event pass program offered patrons the opportunity to obtain passes for admission to regional art events to experience a variety of art events and enjoy the rich cultural heritage. The intended outcome of the Arts Event Pass program was to increase awareness and provide access to the regions cultural centers by providing free admission tickets. Patrons checked a box indicating how many times that had visited a location prior to using the free ticket.
220 passes were used by area patrons. Those using the Event Passes were asked to check a box on the ticket indicating if they had visited that concert venue before. Of the tickets marked, 76% had never been to that particular museum before.
Mesaba Concert Association agreed to a 20% reduction in ticket price for reimbursement of tickets. This savings allows us to provide more tickets. 250 tickets were distributed between all public libraries. Library staff distributed passes and provided additional promotion for the museum pass programs and approximately 20 regional newspapers.
