Duluth Playhouse-James and the Giant Peach
The event pass program offered patrons the opportunity to obtain passes for admission to regional art venues to learn about their rich local history and culture of our region and to view theater productions. The intended outcome of the Event Pass program was to increase awareness and provide access to the regions cultural, historical, and educational opportunities by providing free admission tickets.
123 tickets were used. Our surveys indicated 87 of the patron groups that attended had never attended a Legacy funded event or had only attended one other event. 76 groups also indicated they would probably not be able to attend if these tickets were not available.
All event sites agreed to a 20% reduction in ticket price for reimbursement of tickets. This savings allows us to provide more tickets. 250 free passes were distributed between all public libraries. Library staff distributed passes and provided additional promotion for the museum pass programs and approximately 20 regional newspapers.
