Henry Boucha - Author of Native American Olympian
The intended outcome is to inspire attendees to read, express themselves creatively, while exploring cultural aspects of Minnesota. A survey was distributed to receive feedback from those attending the programs.
Surveys were distributed to participants at all programs. 87% strongly agreed that this was an enjoyable experience and 83% strongly agreed that they would attend a similar event. Comments: I like that there are Native Americans out there that can go for it all - being a Native American myself there are no limits on dreams! Emotional, motivational and inspirational. Thanks for the diversity of programs and speakers. I liked hearing from the person first hand about their history.
17 libraries provided space (three partnered with a school or other larger public space), staff, and additional promotion for the programs and approximately 16 regional newspapers provided marketing through press releases, photos and interviews with artists and performers.
