Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Kids will learn about soil and the ecosystem in the ground in Minnesota, connecting an understanding of our local natural world with our summer reading program and books that they can read.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The program was a great interactive, hands-on experience. Attendees liked looking at animal hides and talking about dirt. Many parents said that they were surprised to learn that worms were harmful to forests. Comments include "I could see my children were totally involved and loved learning about soil!"
