Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)
Participants will learn much about being an author and how Nancy gets the ideas for her books. They will also learn about illustrating books as they watch demonstrations of Nancy drawing.
Measurable Outcome(s)
Participants enjoyed their interactions with Nancy Carlson. They learned the importance of keeping art work simple. They were delighted with her sketching the characters in her books! Learning where Nancy gets the ideas for her stories and the process involved in gettting a book published was also something participants learned. The children liked the interaction - and the parents liked getting to meet the author.
