Minnesota in the Civil War
To learn how Minnesota was involved in the Civil War. To learn about the Civil War and to increase knowledge in general about Minnesota History as it involves Revolution, Reaction, and Reform.
Prior to the program the question was asked: "How many of you are interested in Revolution, Reaction, or Reform?" 36 students indicated they were interested. After the program the question was asked: "How many of you want to learn more about Revolution, Reaction, or Reform now?" 52 students indicated they would like to learn more. 45 students indicated they had been to a program at the library prior to this program. 195 students indicated they would like to attend another program if it were offered. Students learned "How the wounded [in the Civil War were treated," "47 Minnesotans were left after their last battle," "The Civil War was gruesome."
Pioneerland Library System and Willmar Public Library and Willmar Middle School. Partner Organization Contribution/Role in the Program: Willmar Public Library arranged for the program and advertised the program. Willmar Middle School provided the space for the program.
