Metal Tooling with the Duluth Art Institute
The intended outcome of the arts program is to allow patrons the opportunity to create hands-on art projects and develop their skills as visual artists, such as creative problem solving, self-expression, small motor development, etc. A survey was distributed to receive feedback from those attending the programs.
A survey was distributed. 92% strongly agreed that this was an enjoyable experience and 85% strongly agreed that they would attend a similar event. Participants like the hands on aspect of the program, that it was a fun and creative project and the opportunity to learn a new craft. Participants learned a skill they can use again, about the variations in materials and tools, and that with simple materials they can be creative and that "Art is sooo cool!"
