Those in attendance will learn about the heritage and musical traditions of both Irish and local, Red River Valley musical traditions of the early settlers; experience hearing ancient music and songs that have been part of our heritage in the Red River Valley for three to four hundred years; learn how many of the surnames of the people living today in our own communities tie into historical pioneer personalities and lineages and about the Irish connection and their descendants in the settlement of the Red River Valley.

A sample of survey results asking "what did you like best about the program" are: The beautiful Irish music; lively music and interesting explanations; great Irish music
