Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Those in attendance will learn about mosaic art,
participate in a group art project, learn about the tools used and design process involved with mosaic, create a piece of lasting art for the community to enjoy.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Participants experienced art from start to completion and understood the elements, how to choose color, establish a line design with contrast, proportion, rhythm and balance. In the design, there are 3 open books that appear as flowers in a garden. The medium is cut glass for the mosaic with a ceramic tile border that repeats the border in the floor of the alcove where it will be displayed. The satisfaction of completing the steps as they are planned, the tension of waiting on supplies and the cooperation it took to work together as a team are invaluable tools to put in their experience files.
