Project Overview
Staff from Detroit Lakes Library and the Becker County Museum led a bus trip to the Minnesota History Center on May 31, 2014, taking two busses. Trip was limited to adults 18 and older. Busses left at approximately 6am from Detroit Lakes with arrival at the History Center scheduled for approximately 10:30am. The group initially started with a guided tour. After touring there was time for lunch on-site, self-directed touring of the exhibits and/or use of the History Center Library. Departure time from the History Center was at 4pm. Return to Detroit Lakes was approximately 8pm.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)
Participants will gain an increased knowledge and appreciation of the Minnesota Historical Society and increased awareness of Minnesota history in general. Participants will have an opportunity for individuals who might not otherwise have the chance to visit the Minnesota History Center, an opportunity to do research using the History Center’s Library and to visit a special exhibit that might bring back memories.
Measurable Outcome(s)
A sample of survey results asking "what did you like best about the program" are: History of ethnic groups; Toy exhibit; The memories brought back; Well organized, very interesting exhibits; Visual and hands on displays.
