Project Overview
Integrating three life principles of SUPPORT (to build community), STEPPING OUT (to develop individual creativity), and SHARING (to foster cooperation) into the musical experience makes this Community Drum a memorable experience. This program will encourage people of all ages to come together and share the universal language of music. This program took place at nine locations in the LARL region from April 10 to 12, 2014.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)
Participants will learn about a variety of hand drums and percussion instruments, how to support each other by taking breaks together in the music. Participants will have fun sharing music as a community. Participants of all ages will play percussion instruments and make music together and will learn call and responose using vocals.

A sample of survey results asking the question "what did you like best about the program" are: Very interesting, about cultural history; Drumming basics; Got everyone to play the drums; We got to try the drums and percussion instruments.
