Project Overview
Taylor Branch is an American author and public speaker best know for his landmark trilogy on the civil right era, "America in the King Years." He has returned to civil rights history in his latest book, "The King Years: Historic Moments in the Civil Rights Movement" (2013). LARL co-sponsored this program with the University of Minnesota, Crookston. The presentation at LARL was at the Crookston Library on January 20, 2014. UMC hosted a presentation by Mr. Branch the evening before.

Survey results include: The brief history of civil right activists; The Mr. Branch was so knowledgeable and really knew how to convey what he did in little time; It's amazing to have a connection with such a legend and be able to listen to him share his experiences.
