Winter Speaker Series
We hosted a series of speakers in the month of February. Every Tuesday we had a speaker come and talk on a topic or about a book they published.
Speaker Kayla Downer spoke on love letters and romantic couples in history. She brought love letters her grandparents wrote each other during the war. She talked about how the era was different and how people expressed themselves in the letters they wrote.
Fiction author Lois Greiman is the author of the Chrissy McMullen Mysteries. She has written and published over 50 titles, including romantic comedy and children's stories. She talked about how she started writing, and how the publishing industry works.
The final speaker was the author of 'Minnesota Gold: Conversations with Northland Athletes Competing on the World Stage' with Patrick Mader. He talked about the Olympics and how many of the athletes don't ever share that information with the people they know.
15 participated
Surveys will indicate participants thoughts and feedback of the program. Participants will enjoy hearing directly from authors and will learn about the writing process.
Surveys showed participants enjoyed the speakers and would like more programming like this. Several people asked questions of the speakers at the end of programs. During Patrick Mader's program, some of his relatives were present.
