Project Overview
A Downton Abbey Tea was held at Encore Cafe August 13. The event was catered and hosted by Encore Cafe, St James. The items on the menu were items that would have been served at a 1900s English Tea such as cucumber sandwiches, scones, and earl grey chocolate mousse. Library pages helped serve the tea. Attendees were encouraged to wear hats and almost everyone did. Some even wore gloves! Cards with Downton Abbey trivia questions and factoids were placed next to each plate. There was also a bookmark and book display of Downton Abbey read-alikes. Attendees enjoyed the event.
