Music in the Park
Music in the Park is a free event for families to enjoy music outside in their community. All the musicians are local. We provide a fun event with crafts and great music for the community and surrounding areas. We also provide musical exposure and watch as adults and children develop a deeper appreciation for music. We also use Music in the Park as a way to engage with people who might not come to the library and show them all we have to offer.
700 participated
We hope providing this service to the public will help us reach potential patrons that have not visited the library and encourage them to come in and see what we offer. We will be able to measure that outcome by increase in numbers. Participants will enjoy live, local music.
This was very successful. People had access to music, crafts and community. From the observations, everyone that attended looked as if they were enjoying themselves. The library had dozens of people approach them with praise for the event, adding they didn't realize librarys hosted events like Music in the Park. We also had a record number of people coming to the library in July.
