Teen Art Blast
Shane Lee, former television news reporter and current teacher at Nicollet Public Schools, led basic filmmaking workshops for teens while staff introduced the Film Fest project. Teens had the opportunity to work alone or in groups to create a short film for a 2-county wide film festival. All qualifying films were supposed to be shown at the Film Fest on a huge inflatable screen in Trowbridge Park. Unfortunately, only three teams participated. The films were so short that it was not enough to fill create a festival event so we cancelled the Film Festival, but did award a prize for exemplary work.
26 participated
Participants will experience the joys of filmmaking, create a short film, learn filmmaking techniques
We were planning on passing out evaluations at the Film Festival, but because we had to cancel it, we were unable to pass out evaluations. Workshops were held though.
