Project Overview

Just Keep Stringing, a Waseca DIY business, taught teens how to take their string art to the next level. String art, or pin and thread art, is characterized by an arrangement of colored thread strung between points to form geometric patterns or representational designs such as a ship's sails, sometimes with other artist material comprising the remainder of the work. Thread, wire, or string is wound around a grid of nails hammered into a wooden board. Just Keep Stringing led workshops to help teens complete an advanced piece of string art. The teens were able to create varieties of the project within the workshop so everyone's art turned out different while they learned the same skills. The Waseca event was one of our highest attended teen events to date.
