Minnesota Author Brian Freeman

MN author Brian Freeman visited the St James Library and discussed his highly acclaimed and frequently nominated award winning detective series set in the city of Duluth. Mr. Freeman used a power point presentation to show areas of Duluth that are used in his books for crime scenes or to point out settings which are important to the characters of the story. He discussed his research methods which utilize the knowledge of local authorities as well as businesses that are easily recognized in Duluth. He read sections of two of his novels which drew the listener into the scenes that had been viewed in photographs in the power point and made the attendees feel as though they had a true visual of the setting of the story. It was obvious by the attendees reaction to his readings that they were eager to find out more about the story.
