Project Overview

Every Tuesday in February the Gaylord Library hosted a speaker to talk on a topic or book they had published. Brandon Fredig - new Minnesota author. Shared his personal growth pieces, human interest stories and spoke about his 'Life Learned Abroad: Lessons on Humanity from China'. Also talked about his travels to Tanzania. Dr. Kim Heikkila, also a Minnesota author spoke about women's roles in Vietnam during the war and about 2 women in particular how being in Vietnam at that time affected them. Russ Lunak - James J Hill Museum. Spoke about the history of the Hill House and Hill's early life/family. This program was educational and historical. Ann Heymann and Charlie Heymann - Gaelic Harper/Composers. Ann could not make it but Charlie performed and talked about music and different instruments.

Measurable Outcome(s)

All attendees seemed to enjoy the programs, many questions were asked at all programs. Some people were disappointed Ann Heymann was not able to make it but Charlie did a very nice job.
