The Textile Center will instruct participants on the process of wet felting to create an individualized piece of art. Wet felting is the process of layering wool into one flat piece and using water, soap and friction to create a piece of felt fabric which then can be used to make a bowl, flower, or other craft item.

This will be a fiber technique that few people are familiar with and the expectation is that participants will gain an understanding of working with wool roving. Felting is a centuries old technique that utilizes heat, moisture, pressure, agitation and a change in ph to achieve a woven fabric.
