Project Overview

Area youth will be trained to create, perform and exhibit artistic works that showcase their perspectives and ideas, including feature essays, interviews, and music programming. The Youth Radio Project will produce a monthly one hour program that showcases their work, and youth features will air on WTIP’s daily calendar programs. Youth projects will also be archived on WTIP’s website and offered to state and national radio stations through PRX.

$1,600,000 each year is appropriated for a grant to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.

ACH will thrive in Minnesota Involve more K-12 students who would not be able to have this experience because of financial barriers
