KMOJ - History of Music "From Africa to America"
An annual play that chronicales how music has inspred, comforted and encouraged a race of people to endure the challenges of slavery to current economic, social and political issues. This play will be written and produced in conjunction with the help of Gary Hines from the Grammy Award winning Sounds of Blackness.
$1,600,000 each year is appropriated for a grant to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.
Increased exposure of local musical artist to the greater community. Attendance totals, artist participation in pre-event interviews/promotions with KMOJ and local media. Radio and social media exposure for each Artist that will support their efforts to enhance their careers.
