KOJB - The Ojibwemowin, Learning Ojibwe Language
These weekly 10-minute radio segments will focus on teaching the Ojibwe Language. Each segment features a differennt Ojibwe phrase. The program will focus on a language that is entirely focused in this region of Minnesota. It has many dialects with several dialects only spoken in Minnesota.

This program will teach the Ojibwe language one phrase at a time. First language speakers of the Ojibwe language are passing on. The program will increase student exposure to the language and people will trust Minnesota's stewardship of public culture and history. Arts, culture and history will thrive in Minnesota. The Ojibwe language is part of the culture and history that made Minnesota. The story in language needs to be told to a wider audience.
$1,600,000 each year is appropriated for a grant to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.
